Yasmin Van Deventer is an accomplished American actress of Iranian heritage, based in Paris and Los Angeles. Her recent notable role was in Bertrand Bonello’s Lynchian film “La Bête”.

Raised in California, Yasmin trained at Berkeley Repertory Theatre and the American Conservatory Theater. She studied Francophone literature in France, Haiti, and Martinique, enriching her artistic perspective.

Active in theatre across France and the U.S., Yasmin also leads One Thousand & One Nights Productions, currently pre-producing two shorts and a feature based on her play, “Details My Mother Left Out”, inspired by her mother’s escape from Iran during the 1979 Revolution.

Yasmin continues to captivate audiences with her powerful performances and storytelling.
