he / him

Vlad Troncea is a London-based certified Intimacy Coordinator and a member of the UK BECTU Intimacy Coordinator Registry. He was part of the first cohort trained in intimacy coordination at the prestigious National Film and Television School (NFTS) in the United Kingdom. Holding a BA in Performing Arts from the National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest, he has worked for more than 10 years as an actor, dancer, and movement director. This experience has shaped his practice, allowing him to understand both cast and crew needs, as well as translate the narrative of intimacy scenes into movement. He is also the first Romanian Intimacy Coordinator, bringing this growing discipline into the Romanian film and TV industry.

Vlad’s work includes indie features, short films, music videos, and theatre productions. He is also one of the early pioneers bringing the professional standards of intimacy coordination to new and emerging formats, such as micro-drama series. His latest credits include the feature films The Wrong People and Call Time.

As an Intimacy Coordinator, he has worked across both the United Kingdom and internationally, collaborating with creative teams from different cultural backgrounds. His expertise includes a wide range of on-screen and stage intimacy work, such as nudity, simulated sex, LGBTQIA+, kissing scenes, and sensitive work with minors, among other areas.
