Teodora Markova is a film and TV writer, based in Sofia. She has created and co-written some of the most successful TV series in Bulgaria, among which the internationally acclaimed crime show Under Cover (2011), nominated for Best Foreign TV series at Monte Carlo Television Festival and distributed in 187 territories. Her mini-series Father’s Day (2019) was in the Official Selection of Série Series Fontainebleau and part of Venice International Film Festival – Gap Financing Market.

Teodora has written four feature films. The romantic comedy Bubblegum (2017) brought her the Best Screenplay Award at the Bulgarian National Festival Golden Rose.

The latest project, co-created and co-written by Teodora, is the Latvian Soviet Jeans (2024). It was selected for Berlinale Series Market Selects and won the Audience Award and Best Actor Award at Series Mania 2024.
