Actor
About
he / him
Maxime Canat was born in Paris but quickly moved to the French Riviera with his family. There, he started taking acting classes with the former casting director Robert Donat. He then moved back to Paris for his studies and kept on training as an actor through different classes and methods; such as the Strasberg method acting, the Cours Peyran Lacroix or Cours Clément. Always looking to expand and develop new skills as an actor, he also participated in training and workshops such as stunts, singing, voiceover, acting in English with the international coach Giles Foreman , or more recently with the TCIC method (Body and intuitive approach of acting with a choreographer).
After starting by playing theatre classics on stage in Paris such as Katcha, Brecht or Tchekhov, he then developed his skills and craft in a wide range of short movies, most of them being awarded in Festivals. He also worked for Television and streaming platforms on ambitious and recognized projects such as Lambert vs Lambert on Disney + in which he had the main role, or The Spiderman of Paris directed by the BAFTA winning director Jamie Roberts. He will also be featured in a movie “Mirari” which will be released in French cinema in October.
Always eager to work in different environments , to portray the widest range of characters and to collaborate with international teams in different languages (he can act and speak four languages such as French, English, Spanish and Italian), he’s always looking forward to the next challenge and story to tell !
