Lina Fountoglou is an actress working in theatre, cinema, and television. In theatre, she has performed in productions of the National Theatre of Greece, the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus, the National Theatre of Northern Greece, various Regional Municipal Theatres and other. In cinema, she has appeared in both short and feature-length films. She received the Best Actress award at the London Greek Film Festival 2021 for her role Chara in the short film “Wolves.” On television, she participated as Stella in the series “Poios Papadopoulos” (Tanweer Productions, ANT1 TV 2023).
Lina directed the theatrical production of “Catch the Butcher” by Adam Seidel, staged at Mikro Gloria Theatre (2023-2025). She is also a spoken word and poetic performance artist well known for the participation in the disk KENO (Jolly Roger) and has presented her own performances, such as “Mach’s Gut” at the Athens Conservatory Amphitheatre for TEDxAUEB (2023). In 2024, she took on the role of Artistic Director for the Piraeus Port Film Festival, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, the Region of Attica, and the Municipality of Piraeus. In December 2024, her second poetry collection, “Suicide in a Continuous Tense,” was published by Smili Editions.
