Smaro Papaevangelou, a highly acclaimed film editor based in Athens, Greece, graduated from the Film Studies Department of Fine Arts School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a Master’s Degree in 2013. Swiftly immersing herself in the world of filmmaking, her edited works have premiered and garnered awards at film festivals globally, including “Morning Prayers”, “Hiwa”, “Fox”, “Moderation”, and “End of Suffering”. Recognized for her talent, she was chosen to participate in the Berlinale Talents campus in 2014 and selected for Sarajevo Talents in 2018. In 2022, her editing skills were honored with the Best Film Editing award from the Hellenic Film Academy for her work on “Moon 66 Questions” by Jacqueline Lentzou.

Since 2016, Smaro has lent her expertise to editing numerous commercials for prestigious clients such as Cosmote, Aegean, Ford, and Opap. Notably, one of her early commercial edits was celebrated with the Grand Ermis Production Award, securing its place as the Ad of the Year.
