Minos Papas is an award-winning Director with over 25 years of professional experience. His career began at the young age of 16, when he pulled focus on 16mm for a German ZDF TV crew. Hailing from a family of acclaimed filmmakers, Minos was immersed in the world of cinema from an early age, spending his formative years on sets, in castings, and in projection booths.

In 1999, Minos moved from Cyprus to New York City to formalize his film education at the School of Visual Arts. During his time there, he garnered the school’s best cinematography award, laying a strong foundation for his future endeavors. He then established Cyprian Films, New York (CFNY) to produce independent films and commercial videos.

Minos’ directorial works have achieved significant acclaim, with his films being sold and distributed commercially, screened at major festivals including Sundance, and winning awards at prestigious events like the Tribeca Film Festival and the NY EMMYs. He is a member of the Director’s Guild of Cyprus.

Throughout his career, Minos has had the privilege of collaborating with notable figures such as Martin Scorsese, filming Scarlett Johansson, and earning comparisons to David Lynch in the press. His artistic influences include Tarkovsky and Kubrick.
