Athena Xenidou

Athena’s film credits as writer, producer and director include awarded shorts Dead End, The Made Guy, Saving Joy, Insidious Invisible.  She wrote and directed a feature film documentary Unwitnessed Memories which won Best Documentary at Worldfest Houston and a distinction at IDFA. She collaborated with Barry Cook, (Disney’s director of Mulan) on Socrates & Soc, a screenplay aimed for a 3d animation film. Among her Greek TV directing credits are reality show Survivor1 and 2 and forty-eight episodes in popular TV drama series. 

Athena is currently producing a series in collaboration with the UK and Italy. Laskarina, co-written with Leah Kayaleh, was one of five pilots selected for The Owl, the prestigious screenwriting workshop of Athens Film Office in 2023-24. After completing its development, the project is now in the financing stage. Athena also recently directed Nachtland at the National Theatre Organisation of Cyprus (THOC), with sold-out performances.
