Dimitris Vanos began his professional career on screen in Greece, earning his first credit with a taped performance for the Athens and Epidaurus Festival before moving into commercial musical theatre in Athens, appearing in productions such as The Sound of Music and later starring as Michael in the Greek production of Billy Elliot: The Musical.

At 15, he independently relocated to the UK to train at ArtsEd’s prestigious Sixth Form, later earning a BA in Drama and Philosophy from Royal Holloway, University of London. In his final year, he took on a lead role in a new writing production and was awarded Best Performer at his university.

Based in London, Dimitris has since focused on contemporary new writing, including a standout two-hander at The Space Theatre and work on Caryl Churchill’s Far Away at the Camden Fringe. He recently made his television debut in Greece on ERT TV’s Ilektra and wrapped filming on a short directed by Memi Koupa.

Known for portraying morally ambiguous, intelligent, and charismatic characters, Dimitris approaches his work with curiosity, emotional precision, and depth. Fluent in Greek and English, he is a bilingual actor working across European and international markets.
