Dimitra Barla

Dimitra Barca is a screenwriter and producer. She has produced serial shows commissioned by the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation ERT SA, co-productions presented at international Fora and unscripted entertainment for Channel 4 (UK).

Building projects from concept to production, she takes care of the artistic development, financing planning and co-production strategy of premium international scripted TV.

A graduate of the University of East Anglia’s Creative Writing – Scriptwriting Masters program and an alumna of the Series Mania Institute’s Eureka Series training program, the Torino Film Lab NEXT TV program and John Yorke Story. 

Her writing work has been commissioned or produced by the Tristan Bates Theatre, the Camden Fringe, Drama Studio London and the University of East Anglia in the UK, Denmark and Greece, having received four-star press reviews.  I am passionate about international stories that explore cross-cultural issues, the female experience and the sense of belonging.
