Daphne was born in Cyprus and trained at Oxford University and LAMDA. She started off on BBC’s well known long running series “Casualty” as nurse Nadia Talianos – she played her for two years (2006-8). Other TV followed, such as: “House of Saddam” (HBO/BBC), “The Amazing Mrs Pritchard” (BBC), “The Sandman” (Netflix), “Kabul” (France 2).
On Greek TV, Daphne has played Nina on the Netflix/Antenna miniseries “Zoi” and Ioulia on the long running Antenna series “Revenge Games”, an adaptation of BBC’s Dr Foster.
Films include: Polanski’s “The Ghost Writer”, Luca Guadagnino’s “Beckett” and “The Fourth Kind” opposite Milla Jovovitch (Universal Pictures), “Smyrna my Beloved” (Apple and Netflix), “Minore” (Rotterdam Film Festival and FrightFest), “The Hunted” (Amazon) and “Murphy’s Law” by Angelos Frantzis. Coming up are “Maricel” by Elias Demetriou and “Kalanda” by Christos Kanakis.
Notably, Daphne played the lead female role in award-winning short film “The Palace” by Anthony Maras, and the lead female role in award winning Cypriot feature film “The Siege on Liperti Street” by Stavros Pamballis.
Stage credits include: Long-running play “City Stories” that performed at St James’ Theatre and Wilton’s Music Hall in London, Oxford Playhouse and at 59E59 in NYC. “Hidden in the Sand” at London’s Trafalgar Studios. “Camelot, the Shining City” at Sheffield Crucible. “The Marshall Plan” with Athens and Epidaurus Festival.
Voice highlights include her portrayal of iconic heroine Modesty Blaise for BBC radio 4.
Daphne speaks native English and Greek, fluent French and basic German, Italian and Levantine Arabic.
