With his magnetic presence, Dimitris Kitsos has unquestionably charmed renowned industry professionals and audiences worldwide since the beginning of his career.
He discovered his love for acting at 18 while studying Rural and Surveying Engineering. He gained early acclaim with the lead role in Sofia Exarchou’s Park, premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival.
This marked the beginning of a dynamic career, with Dimitris also starring in the Canadian film Octavio is Dead. Since his graduation, Dimitris has worked in numerous theatre, dance, film and tv / platform projects, including performances in the National Theatre of Greece, a dance performance with Dimitri’s Papaioannou The Great Tamer which toured around the world, and has been a lead in 5 more films which have brought him an honorary distinction (International Cyprus Film Days) and three nominations (Thessaloniki’s International Film Festival, Mediterranean Film Festival and Hellenic Film Academy Awards).
Internationally, he’s known for pivotal roles in the first Greek Netflix miniseries, Maestro in Blue, by Christoforos Papakaliatis, and the French Amazon Prime series Greek Salad. Fans eagerly await his return for the second season of Maestro in Blue. Recently, Dimitris completed filming for The Beach on ERT and the series Black Paintings on NOVA which is in post production. Currently, Dimitris is filming the second season of the Netflix series The Girl from Oslo.
