Larissa Vergou is a Greek-Czech actress with dual citizenship. She is based in Athens but has accommodation in Prague as well. She was born in Amsterdam and attended the European school of Brussels before studying acting. She is a graduate of G. Fotiadis Private Drama School – Fully recognized by the State (1996)
In theatre, film and television she is working as an actress since1996 and is a member of SEI-Association of Greek Actors.
Some of her parts include the following: feauture film “Polixeni” directed by Dora Masklavanou (2016), “Matriarchy – The Movie”, dir.by N.Kornilios that premiered at the Athens International Film Festival & Opened at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival (2013). In T.V the most recent roles were in “Doc” directed by J. Papavassiliou Alpha Channel (2023), “The Invisibles” dir. H.Mazarakis Cosmote TV (2022) and much more. In theatre she played in NEKIA (Odyssey-Rhapsody11-The Underworld) dir. Fenia Papadodima (2016), “Happy Days In Grey Gardens” a performance inspired by Samuel Beckett’s “Happy Days” and the documentary film of Maysles brothers “Grey Gardens”. Featuring nine women and one man.dir. Katia Goulioni (2013),“The audience complicit” by Fabrice Melquiot, dir. by Ellie Papakonstantinou at the French theatre festival at the Mihalis Kakogiannis Foundation (2012),“Post-one Performance for the destruction of the world”, dir. by Ellie Papakonstantinou at the Vyrsodepsion theatre (this production took part in the first international theatre festival in Kurdistan in North Iraq)-2011. One of her first parts was as a member of the chorus in “Prometheus” by Aeschylus, dir. by N. Tsakiroglou which toured at the Art Theatre-West End in London, at the Royal Theatre of Music in Manchester and at the island of Makronisos, which used to be an island where people got exiled in Greece until 1974. In 1998 she played the part of Lisa in Dostoyefski’s “The basement” dir. by Tsagas,at Enastron theatre, Tzeni Karezi theatre. As a Voice Actor her latest jobs was in 2018 for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Video Game& in 2026 for the documentary-Animation “Women of 1922” directed by Aris Kaplanides & Elias Roumeliotis still a work in progress.
In addition to the above, she has worked in organizing cultural events both in Greece and abroad (Prague Writer’s Festival 2008-2020). She has been an Elected Official of the First District of the City of Athens and a member of the Board of Directors of the Culture, Sports and Youth Organization of the City of Athens & Technopolis Cultural Space & Industrial Museum of the City of Athens (2010-2019). She worked as assistant director at the Czech Centre Athens a cultural institute established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic (2022-2023)
She is a founder member of the Vovousa Festival at the Epirus Region, that focuses on the mountain altitude, nature conservation through sustainable development and is dedicated to youth, education, music, photography and cinematography.
