Athos Antoniou is a Cypriot actor and creative producer with a diverse career spanning cinema, theatre, and television. He stars as “Kaeemis” in the upcoming international feature film “Motherwitch” (selected for the Cannes Film Festival 2025 Buyers Showcase and official selection on Rotterdams film festival (αλλά δεν ξερω αν αυτο μπορει ανακοινωθει ακομα. Να ρωτησω τον Μινω.) and serves as actor and production manager in the international co-production “Revival” (Armenia-Cyprus-Lithuania), alongside Armand AssanteHeino Ferch. His film credits include leading roles in the award-winning “Sunrise in Kimmeria” and the short film “Semeli,” which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.


In theatre, Athos has an extensive portfolio, performing in productions such as “The Word 《Progress》 Sounded Very Off in My Mother’s Mouth” at the National Theatre of Cyprus (2024–25), “Timario” and “Sminos” by Costas Mannouris, “Crime on Belmont Street” (based on Agatha Christie, Theatre Roi), “A Bee in August” (Theatre Ena), “Three” by Juan Carlos Rubio, “Patty Xima” by Pedro Almodóvar, “Not for Nightingales” by Tennessee Williams, and “Metaxoulis” (Theatre Alfa-Linaeos/Photiou).


This winter, he will star in “Twelfth Night” by William Shakespeare, directed by Owen Horsley at the National Theatre of Cyprus.
On television, Athos’s most recent work includes the MEGA Channel drama series “Famagusta” (2024–25). He also appeared in the award-winning Israeli series “Carthago” and had roles in “Land of Olives” (MEGA) and “Mama’s Cake” (ERT).
A graduate of IASMOS Drama School and AKTO Art & Design School, Athos combines his artistic versatility with a collaborative spirit across all mediums.
