GEORGE WALTER STATHIS was born to a German mother and a Greek father and grew up in the south of Germany. After initially exploring different academic paths, he earned a Bachelor’s in Business in Film, TV, and Media Production in Vienna. After his graduation he gained practical experience in the film industry through various jobs in production and film financing in Vienna, Zürich, Frankfurt and Berlin.
It was in Berlin that he discovered his passion for acting and completed a four-year, state-certified acting program at the renowned Michael Chekhov Studio Berlin (MTSB), studying with respected teachers like Jobst Langhans, Justus Carriere, and Rudolf Krause.
Since graduating in 2022, he has established himself as a versatile performer on both stage and screen. He has appeared in numerous theater productions, including The Imaginary Invalid, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Villa Dolorosa. His stage work has taken him to theaters such as Komödie Frankfurt, Sommertheater Dresden, Theater am Wettiner Platz and Inseltheater Moabit. Stathis is also a versatile presence on camera. In addition to several short films (among others Profil, Stille, Abgrund), he appeared in the ARD miniseries The Next Level (2024) and the feature film Eyes Without Gaze. He has also appeared in commercials and as a host in a German TV show.
His multilingual abilities in German, Greek, English (all fluent) and French (B1) combined with his strong physical expressiveness, define his acting and bring a unique intensity to his roles.
