About

he / him

Affectionately referred to by friends and colleagues as the finest Chicago-born scribe in São Paulo — the city he swore he’d never live in when he first visited — Marc learned long ago to never, never, never say… never. In English, and in Portuguese.

His work has earned multiple awards and critical acclaim across genres and mediums; his rusty hockey a cup of coffee with famed football club Flamengo’s amateur in-line team; and his questionable election pamphleteering, a short ride in the back of a Brazilian police car.

Marc’s currently writing for a hit Brazilian show on Netflix, while his adaptation of the acclaimed play Casa Submersa / Underground House recently participated in the prestigious Series Makers program and Series Mania.

A multicultural writer and producer, Marc has worked with partners in Brazil, Argentina, the U.S., Spain, the U.K., Italy, and even Russia, bringing decades of international experience to stories that blend grit, humor, and heart — always with an eye for characters whose voices demand to be heard. In addition, he has been a guest lecturer at the Academia Internacional de Cinema in São Paulo, Director of Development at RPM International in Los Angeles, and a board member of the Scriptshark Insider Screenplay Competition for three years.
